Close to 1,000 attend South Bay Pride!

Close to 1,000 people attended South Bay Pride! The weather was gorgeous, the food great and the entertainment fantastic. Empress Selena Diamond of the San Diego Imperial Court emceed the event which had entertainment by Latin Rhythm Creations, Alondra's Dancers, Roxy Blue and Band, and Rhythm and the Method!
Cara Dessert spoke about the "Vote NO on 8" campaign. Long time couples Pat Washington and Maggie Alligton, Doug O'Donnel and Gary Klein, Jan Garbosky and Bonny Russell, and Tom Felkner and Bob Lehman were honored and spoke passionately about the need to vote NO on 8! South Bay Fish and Grill, Baja Betty's, and Urban Mo's all contributed champagne brunches for the couples to enjoy.
Raffle prizes were given out throughout the day which included a $25 gift certificate from King's Fish House in the Otay Ranch Town Center, $30 gift certificate from PF Chang's in the Otay Ranch Town Center, 2 one month dance at Alondra's Dance Studio, A Photography by Elsa sitting, a gift certificate from Bellissima Day Spa for two free massages and the grand prize, a getaway package from Park Manor Suites which gave one night for two with a bottle of wine, dinner and complimentary continental breakfast and parking.
